East Jesus is "an experimental, habitable, extensible artwork in progress". It is located on the outskirts of Slab City, CA near the Salton Sea and the town of Niland. It is the creation of its sole resident, Charles Russell, and is home to an extensive sculpture garden, full of magnificent art cars and various structures made from found materials and rusty metal. It is truly one of the most unique environments I've ever experienced.
